Production Technology fosters the kinds of safety skills that are valued in the workplace. This included handling dangerous materials, and we provide container safety labels and material safety data sheets for our students.

I will be observing and evaluating you daily to make sure you are working safely in the workshop. This includes observing:

• you use your tools safely
• you get friends to act as spotters while you work on certain machines
• you act as an observant spotter for others
• you use appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment)
• you clean up and maintain the cleanliness of the shop
• you behave thoughtfully about how your actions may affect the safety of yourself and others
• your clean up habits
